A rare find indeed! This wonderful piece is a handmade, hand fashioned British antique ink blotter from the late 1800's or early 1900's. Carved of wood it features an antler handle and an antler burr as a decorative feature that allows the blotter to twist open for adding new paper. We have added vintage brown blotter paper to the piece so it is functional and ready to use. We have paired the blotter with a feather and a vintage quill wrapped with wax string. The feather has been embellished with a single tiny crystal. This is a perfect gift for anyone who practices the art form of calligraphy. This is the first of it's kind for us! Just wonderful!!
