Clairefontaine Pastelmat Pads are perfect for dry and wet techniques using pastels. Available in a range of colours and sizes, the 360gsm paper is highly durable and water resistant making it great for blending. Each page is made from card with a thin layer of cellulose fibres on top and is protected by a sheet of crystal paper. Choice of pad sizes. Each contains 12 sheets in four assorted colours: beige, sand, sanguine and dark grey.

The pastel adheres so well to this Pastelmat paper that you don't need to use a fixative between each layer. You are able to multiply the layers without a saturation effect. Pastelmat brings new opportunites for pastel artists, offering a coarser surface than velour but a softer surface than sand paper. This palette includes Dark Blue, Light Blue, Wine, and Sand sheets.
