All of our products at Artisan Leaf are handmade, they are one of a kind creations using natural tobacco leaves and are not factory manufactured. As a result products will have subtle differences from one piece to the next, caused by variations in leaf color, shape and texture. We make custom size and shape bar tops to order. We have local contacts that are welders and carpenters that can make very nice metal or wood bases. When customers are interested in those, we help to facilitate them and usually handle the sale so it can still be a one-stop shop. We can have that made and added to a bar fabricated in our workshop. But we do NOT make that edge in house. Our primary edge offerings are standard wood edges (stained or painted) OR a "rolled leaf edge" where the tobacco rolls over the edge of the bar top. Both of these options are pictured in some of the other photos attached to this listing. ************** Flue-cured tobacco is dried with heat directed from flues or pipes that extend from a furnace into the barn. The temperature of the furnace is gradually raised until the leaves and stems are completely dried. Flue-cured tobacco leaves are bright and have golden color. Burley is a larger plant than the flue-cured tobacco and it's 'air-cured’ – without the use of extra heat. This tobacco is traditionally cured hanging in structures with a roof, but with open sides to allow air to freely circulate. Burley leaves are light brown to mahogany. Cigar Leaf is a fire-cured tobacco. Small fires are built on the floor of enclosed barns similar to those used for flue-curing. The type of wood used and the amount of smoke exposure gives fire-cured tobacco leaves their darker color. Cigar Leaves are dark brown to umber.
