University of Texas Press, 1964. First American edition. A collection of Borges' poems with woodcut illustrations by Antonio Frasconi. Translated from El Hacedor (The Maker) by Mildred Boyer and Harold Morland.Book: Very good. Dust jacket: Very good. Jacket is protected in archival sleeve but previously experienced wear around the edges including tanning and some chipping. Small tear to front cover over Jorge. Boards are straight and clean with bumped corners and spine ends. Mild foxing to outer edges of text block, half title page and reverse side of front free endpaper. Previous owner's embossed personal stamp on half title page. Otherwise, all pages are clean and unmarked. Very mildly split binding in a few areas throughout book, but binding is quite strong on the whole.
