Rope climbing has been a staple of functional training for hundreds of years. It's even considered a forebear to modern gymnastics. And there's no shortage of exercises possible with it. Climb using your feet or without, right-side-up or upside-down. Hang two ropes beside each other and use both at once. You are limited only by your imagination. Hotly Contested
While no longer an Olympic sport, rope climbing is still a hotly contested sport. Aleš Novák from Sokol Šternberk, Czech Republic, set the world record for the 8M (26ft) climb. From a seated position, and using only his arms, he reached the top in 4.87 seconds in 2009. How quickly can you reach the top?
Made in the USA, our 3-strand twist, Manila climbing ropes are manufactured from grade A select manila fibers, not left over short strands like most or substituted for Hemp or Jute. It is because we only use premium, long manila fibers, that our ropes will shed far less and out last our competition.
Manila rope is commonly used in shipping, construction, and agriculture industries where strength and durability are necessary. Is it any wonder why Manila ropes have been the standard in gym climbing ropes since as far back as you can remember? Our manila climbing ropes are individually handcrafted with a 6 loop for attaching the rope with a time honored technique known as splicing. The loop is then covered with heavy duty nylon fabric to protect the rope from fraying. Climbing ropes can be hung with chain or looped around a fixed object in a choker configuration. The overall length of the climbing rope includes both the loop and splice. The end of the climbing rope is finished off with a heavy duty heat shrink vinyl boot to protect the rope from fraying.
All CFF manila climbing ropes can be used either indoors or outdoors, but should not be stored outdoor, in order to protect the longevity of your climbing rope.
