Mini Easi-Grip Scissors – Special Needs Essentials

The Mini Easi-Grip Scissors are lightweight self-opening scissors used during early scissor skill development or for individuals with SPD or other special needs. The adaptive scissors are 2/3 the size of the standard version and require less hand strength than regular scissors. The small size and wide contoured handles of the loop scissors allow for easy use and control.  Preschool teachers and O.T.'s use the Loop Scissors to build hand strength, grip, hand-eye coordination, cutting skills and fine motor skills. Unlike standard scissors with two finger holes,  the loop designed handle is an excellent alternative to allow a firmer grip while feeling comfortable to hold.   During early developmental stages, a child should start with ripping paper to build grip and strengthen hand muscles.
