Heat Stop Premixed is a fire-resistant, grey-colored refractory mortar. FREE Shipping.New lower price! It is often used for the installation or repair of high-temperature resistant firebrick and masonry in pizza ovens, boilers, fireplaces, flues, furnaces, incinerators, kilns, and wood stoves. This is an air-setting product which may be water soluble in service. Do not use in exterior applications or where excessive moisture is present (instead use Heat Stop II or Heat Stop 50). Resists temperatures to 2,500 degrees. Meets all state and national building codes. Meets A.S.T.M. C-199. You will need approximately 50 lbs. of product to lay up 100 firebrick. Tenon Refractory Mortar is a specially-engineered blend of specific cements and aggregates giving the mortar unique heat-resistance and thermal characteristics for use in high-temperature applications such as inside fire pit rings, setting chimney clay flue liners, parging a smoke chimney chamber, and setting fire bricks. Passes ASTM C 199 for mortar temperature limits to 2,550°F for a minimum of 6 hours.
