When you are ready to craft your next sign, wipe with vinegar and a Magic Eraser to start again! It's perfect calligraphy every time! DIY Sign Kit includes: -(1) 15" x 5" x .5" non-porous magnetic porcelain steel chalkboard (markers will not stain or leave any trace on the chalkboard) with an adjustable cord to get the perfect fit. -(6) Paint Chalk Markers- Red, Yellow, Orange, Green, Blue & White. The Story of Plata Chalkboards Our family came up with this idea after we used a small chalkboard for a photo booth prop at a 50th Anniversary Party for my in-laws. After the party, I wrote Merry Christmas on the small chalkboard and hung it on my front door. I loved the way it looked- so cute & personal- until the rain came and washed my message away. My friends and family loved my chalkboard creations, but just rolled their eyes when told they could make their own signs as well. Then I had my AHA momentif the letters were magnets and the ink couldn't be washed away by rain, anyone could create their message for their home! It was all a hobby until I lost my job of 10 years 9 days before Christmas 2018. We took it as a sign (pun intended 😊) and started Plata Chalkboards (after my daughter's beloved stuffed platypus, Plata. We figured our products and Plata were both fun, waterproof & unique!) We submitted a patent (!) and our family has worked really hard to bring Plata Chalkboards to life. We now have (3) chalkboards- the tall 58" Porch Chalkboard, a wreath chalkboard & an oval Holiday Chalkboard. Each chalkboard comes with magnetic letter stencils and 6 waterproof chalk markers. We now also have a line of design stencils for every holiday!
