Beret, trilby, fedora, boater, melon, panama, top hat\. There are as many hat styles as head shapes! This marotte of the 30s comes from the workshop of a hatmaker. Halfway between a craft object and a poetic curiosity, this hat form is made of solid wood, heavy, polished by the years, drawn like a sculpture! This beautiful decorative object carries a part of the history of French craftsmanship and know-how. Today, we imagine it as a decorative object or a curiosity, an original paperweight or a remarkable book block\. Make way for magic and emotion!
The hat form is made of solid wood. Very old, it has a superb patina and a sublime sheen. It dates from the 30's and was surely used to form the bell hats. The wood is healthy and shiny. Some inscriptions are visible on the back.
20cm diameter and 12cm high.
