Our Hibiscus Flowers are perfect to use as a tea or add into an indulgent recipe as a spice.Great for herbal drinks, hot and cold, exceptionally good around the holidays. Steep in boiling water, add ginger, sugar (as an option) and be rewarded with a delicious traditional Caribbean drink. Mexican Style Agua de Jamaica is an infusion of dried hibiscus flowers. Popular at Mexican Taquerias and Restaurants, this agua fresca is loaded with Vitamin C and can even lower blood pressure! Agua de Jamaica - Mexican Style Preparation Method:1. - Boil water Put 4 – 5 cups of the water in a medium saucepan. Add 1 cup of Our Hibiscus Flower (Flor de Jamaica). And heat until boiling.2. - Remove from heat. Stir in the dried hibiscus flowers. Cover and let sit for 20 minutes.3. - Strain into a 1 gallon pitcher and discard the used hibiscus flower.4. - Add more water into the 1 gallon pitcher (or if you want to chill the drink quickly, ice and water) to the concentrate, add sugar to taste and let it chill. At this point, taste the Agua de Jamaica and add more sugar and/or dilute it with more water until it
