Responding to the needs of artists & creators, Awagami focuses on research and development in an ongoing effort to integrate washi into contemporary life. Awagami produces washi papers from natural fibers: Kozo, Bamboo, Mitsumata, Gampi and Hemp.

A beautiful organic paper Kinwashi (longer Abaca fibers than our ‘Ginwashi’) is most often used for collage, book and card making and paper crafts. The paper has found its way into the design world as well where it is used for luxury packaging, interiors and lighting.
