A traditional Christmas stocking knit in the Fair Isle style. Fair Isle stranded knitting is defined by pattern and color. Especially important is that no more than two colors are used in any one row or round. This pattern includes instructions for modifying the pattern to make coordinating stockings for the entire family. ~Joan Skills: Knitting in the round, two-color stranded knitting, following a chart, short rows. Size: One size. 13 in circumference; approximately 20'' top to toe. Included: Pattern. Five colors of Jamieson's of Shetland Spindrift 100% Shetland wool (108 g total). OR Five colors of Jamieson & Smith Heritage 100% Shetland wool (125 g total). You will need: Needles and notions US 2/2.75 mm and US 2.5/3.0 mm needles for circular knitting or size to achieve gauge.
