Versafine clair stamping ink from Tsukineko is acid free fast drying oil based ink pad for detailed design stamping on noncoated paper. It dries fast on normal paper, so it is not suitable for embossing powder. Once the ink is dry, stamped images are waterproof and will not smear, so it will be perfect for coloring the design with watercolor and markers after the ink dries. The ink is light fast and fade resistant and is non-toxic pigment ink.Versafine clair series has 24 different colors in its collection which are all available in our shop. According to Tsukineko, they created this ink series for vivid colors and detailed design. With some inks, when applying ink to a stamp, too much ink is applied causing undetailed stamped image, so they produced a new ink pad that prevents ink from being applied too much. We tried this ink on different papers including Traveler's Notebook, MD notebook and Hobonichi techo, and unfortunately this would not be the best ink for Hobonichi techo due to its paper. With traveler's notebook inserts, we ourselves are ok with this ink's ghost (not bleed through but you can still see the image on the back of the page) made by this versafine ink, but if you prefer to have less ghosting on paper, you may want to check out our Versamagic stamp ink collections and soramame stamp inks which are also available in our shop (here).
