This is a vintage natural bristle and horsehair paint brush made by Emerald Brushes. It has a varnished, hardwood handle with a metal ferrule that secures the bristles to the handle. The bristles are firmly in place and are pliable to about 1/2" from the ferrule where dried paint has piled up a bit. It is 10" from handle tip to bristle end and the oval bristles are 3 1/2" at the widest point, 3 1/2" long and 1 3/8" thick. The written identifiers on the brush handle say 'Emerald Brushes', 'Bristle & Horsehair' on one side. The back side appears to say 'B-Funston'. There are obvious paint spots on the handle as well as rust on a good deal of the ferrule. That said, this is still a beautiful old tool.
