A dry mix cement just add water sets and dries as hard as fire brick. Use to cast custom shapes replace worn-out fire brick or fill large holes in masonry firebox or as a solid stone bed. May also be used to build or repair outdoor fire pits. For indoor or outdoor projects. Rated to withstand up to 2200 degreef. Does not require heat to cure. Minimum 24 hour dry time. RUTLAND Dry Mix 211 is a refractory mortar ideal for joining or repairing masonry flue tile in any gas or wood fireplace and wood, coal, or pellet stove chimney. Just add water, mix, and trowel on to seal and join flue tiles. It can also be used as a parge coating (thin overcoat) when building fireboxes to give your fireplace a nice, even, dark gray finish. Does not require (but is stronger with) heat curing. Meets NFPA 211 standards and NYSCMA Tek Spec 2.0.

This refractory cement by Rutland can be used to set, coat, or repair firebrick that has been damaged. It is an extremely effective sealant for masonry-to-masonry joints that are less than 1/4 thick and can also seal air and gas leaks around coal or ash pit doors. Once the cement is heat cured it will withstand temperatures up to 2000anddeg; F. The tub contains pre-mixed cement for convenient application. The cement may be painted after it is dry.
