Use to prime exterior or interior heavily rusted metal surfaces only Oil-based formula provides a durable protective coating with excellent rust

Designed for use on clean bare metal, previously coated or lightly rusted metal. This primer is compatible with Rust-Oleum Stops Rust brand finishes. This primer is not compatible with top coats that contain strong solvents such as automotive finishes. White clean metal primer covers approximately 550 Sq. Ft. per gallon at 1 mil. dry or 275 Sq. Ft. per gallon at 2 mils. dry. Dries to touch in 2 to 4 hours, to handle in 5 to 9 hours, and to recoat in 24 hours.

The paint helps prevent rust and can be used both indoors and outdoors for versatility. The paint can be used to hide flaws and imperfections in scratched and rusted metal and can be applied directly over rust for your convenience.

Rust-Oleum Silver Hammered Paint, 1 Quart

Rusty Metal Primer 0.5-Pt Has a unique fish oil vehicle that penetrates rust to bare metal forcing out corrosive moisture and air. It has outstanding film forming properties which provide a tight bond, a long lasting protection to sound rusted steel. Be sure scale or loose rust is removed before priming. Covers approximately 350 to 500 sq. ft. per gallon, dries to touch in 6 to 12 hours and to recoat after 48 hours. Can be applied with brush, roller, or airless spray.
