Smooth vs Vellum. The difference between Bristol Smooth and Bristol Vellum by Strathmore.

Acid-free. An economical heavyweight paper in a choice of two surfaces. Smooth is ideal for fine pen & ink, pencil and mechanical drawing. Vellum has a slight tooth and is designed for a broad range of drawing and painting including crayon, pencil, charcoal and watercolor or gouache. Both surfaces are ideal for airbrush. 20 sheets per pad. Vellum surface is good for crayon, pencil, charcoal, watercolor or gouache. Smooth surface is good for pen & ink, pencil, and mechanical drawing.
