Via Designs by Bobby-Jo ~ My leather couch was sad, turning orange and desperately needing an update! Not able to afford a new couch and tired of trying to hide it in blankets, I decided it was time to do something about it.I Plaster Painted my leather couch in "Espresso" and gave it one coat of wax. I was thrilled with the coverage. It took only two coats, three on the cushions as I really wanted to get into the creases of the piping and make sure that orange was not going to peek through. Drying time is 72 hours. I am beyond thrilled about the results of this paints drying time between coats, the coverage, and the fact that it truly still looks and feels like leather after waxing. Their wax is by far my most favorite to use. I look forward to using this product again on my projects. Cheers all!.Painting Leather:Step 1. Clean your leather thoroughly. Make sure to get in between the cushions. Let completely dry - overnight if possibleStep 2. Apply paint over entire piece, making sure to apply good pressure to insure details are covered. Once the paint is dry to the touch, paint a second coat if needed (you are the judge, but generally it does take at least 2 coats) Once complete allow your piece to fully dry - as mentioned above 72 hours is a great estimate to go by.Step 3. Seal your piece with Plaster Paint Paste Wax make sure to get complete coverage of your entire piece and then hand buff using Rymple or a non abrasive soft cotton cloth. (the buffer brush drill attachment is not recommended for use on leather or fabric pieces). Allow to dry and cure before heavy use. 3-5 days approximately.Thank you Designs by Bobby-Jo for all of your instructions and help with this project!Painting Fabric:Step 1. Clean your fabric removing any dust and fuzz and cut away loose threads.  Step 2. Apply a fabric medium, this can normally be found at your local fabric store or multi-purpose shopping store. This will soften your material and allow the paint to go on nice and soft. Follow the directions on the package.Step 3.  Spray the fabric with a fine mist of water. Dilute your paint for easier application this will require more coats, but will keep the fabric from becoming stiff. once the paint is dry to the touch go ahead and paint your second coat if needed (you are the judge, but generally it does take at least 2 coats) Once complete allow your piece to fully dry - as mentioned above 72 hours is a great estimate to go by.  Step 4. Seal your piece with Plaster Paint Paste Wax make sure to get complete coverage of your entire piece and then hand buff the piece (the buffer brush drill attachment is not recommended with fabric pieces). Allow again to sit and cure approximately 3-5 days. Please feel free to contact us should you have additional questions.
