Description

Choose the museum mounting wax best suited to your collection. Museum Wax is a special blend of microcrystalline waxes that protect your valuable collections from bumps, quakes and jolts caused by high visitor traffic, mechanical vibrations, or earthquakes. Safe for use on crystal, porcelain, marble, glass, ceramic and wood finishes. It performs well as a temporary ''glue'' to hold items in place while being cleaned, repaired or photographed. Crystal Clear Museum Gel is the first clear, invisible, and temporary adhesive for securing your most prized decorative collections. At first touch, Clear Museum Gel does not feel sticky as you might expect. The material is actually a plastic liquid that is thixotropic (a liquid that flows into a more solid thin film). The gel-like density begins to flow based on the force of gravity and conforms to the weight and size of the object you are securing. The gel takes about 30 to 60 minutes for a complete adherence and during that time, reshapes itself to the bottom of the object you are securing. Recommended for use on impenetrable objects and surfaces only, including glass, crystal, porcelain, Formica, tile, polished granite, etc. Both are used for mounting breakable objects to shelves, stands and display cases.

Museum wax is the same formulation used by museum conservators. Removable, reusable and non-toxic. Great for securing antiques and collectibles from falling and breaking. Scoop out a small amount with the pick provided and roll into balls, or strips and apply to base of object. Press object to surface. To remove, twist and lift from the base.
