Finally! A game-changer in women’s hockey.

This adventure began in 2017 when we created STARK Hockey and the MFG collection with shoulder pads as our main attraction. The mandate was simple: Create a shoulder pad that fits female hockey players. This simple task turned out to be the most challenging project of my career. Without the help of so many passionate female players, this product wouldn’t be where it stands today. In fact, it took over a thousand surveys, hundreds of interviews, and dozens of product testers for us to create this shoulder pad. (Teens, College players, Doctors, Designers and Pro Players)

During this process, we learned that 3 out of 4 female hockey players wanted to see a shoulder pad that truly fit female hockey players, not the half-fast solutions currently offered in the marketplace.

What makes this project so complex is not the fact that female hockey players are shaped differently, but rather the lack of correlation between height, shoulder width and chest size.

Unlike our competition, we created a product that protects where it matters most; the sternum, the spine and the cooper ligaments all have unique protection suited for female hockey players.

The MFG Shoulder pad is also built around key features most female hockey players desire.

Designed by hockey professionals with the help of many Female hockey players.

The shoulder pad was made possible with the help of so many passionate hockey players.

Pro players have seen and are using this product, but we did not want to design it specifically for them. Players of all ages and skill levels, doctors, designers, students and retailers alike, participated in our project and helped us create this pad, and for this, we sincerely thank them all.
