We really love this kit because not only does it come with most of your science experiment equipment and ingredients, it also comes with a pamphlet that has a TON of 5-minute experiments to do at home with your kiddos if you’re needing a bit of inspiration. We’ve got it linked in our stories for you if you want to take a look for yourself. So, let’s get started. Here’s what you’ll need: 🧪 beaker or measuring cup (you’ll only need to measure out 15mL) and water 🧪 small, microwaveable clear cup 🧪 psyllium husk 🧪 food coloring- any color of your choice! 🧪 spoon, spatula 🧪 microwave Here’s what you’ll do: 🧪 start by scooping 1.5 teaspoons of psyllium husk into your clear cup 🧪 add 4 drops of food coloring and mix well 🧪 add 15mL of water and mix again 🧪 microwave the mixture for 10 seconds at a time, until you see the slime start to rise. Once it starts rising, it’s done 🧪 stir the slime into a ball and allow to sit and cool completely 🧪 start playing with your homemade slime! Note: we have a pretty high wattage on our microwave and found that ours didn’t need to go any longe than 10 seconds. It probably should have gone less than that, it was a bit more “squish” than “slime” the first time we did this. If yours starts rising before the 10 seconds is up, pull it out and don’t let it go any longer for the true slime effect. Do you like slime?
